Janet Wright
Director
Janet's expertise lies in strategic policy advice, economic analysis and stakeholder engagement. She has developed a specialism in utility regulation and policy, most recently in water in which she has 15 years experience advising companies and regulators on price reviews, regulatory methodology, tariff policy and the role of market instruments in environmental regulation. At Water UK, she led the industry's work and influencing strategy on the recent price review and on prospects for regulatory reform and worked independently on the Cave Review of Competition and Innovation in Water Markets.
From 2005 to 2009, she was with Water UK. Previously she worked as a consultant with Pieda, Travers Morgan Economics and Oxera and for government in HM Treasury, the Department of Energy and the Department of Environment Transport and the Regions. Janet has a degree in Economics and Geography from the University of Cape Town and a Masters in Economics of Natural Resources from Aberdeen University.
